Los diputados de la Comisión de Salud, Tomás Lagomarsino y Andrés Celis visitaron el Hospital El Salvador de Valparaíso para reunirse con los trabajadores del recinto y conocer las acciones que han tomado luego de la denuncia y posterior retracto de la Ministra de Salud, María Begoña Yarza, respecto a supuestas torturas al interior el recinto de salud mental
Al respecto, el diputado Celis Montt aseguró que “quiero partir diciendo que en el Hospital El Salvador de Valparaíso no se violan derechos humanos, no hay maltrato, no hay crueldad, no hay apremios ilegítimos. Aquí hay funcionarios y funcionarias que se sacan la cresta todos los días para dar lo mejor de sí con muy poco en cuanto a recursos. Lo que sí falta es más inversión de todos los Gobiernos, ahora le toca a este invertir en cuanto a infraestructura, alcantarillados, más camas, más profesionales; existe una deuda histórica con la salud mental que debe cumplir el Estado. Y sí alguien ha violado algún derecho humano es el Estado con los pacientes, con los funcionarios y funcionarias».
«Yo ya anuncié que nosotros vamos a utilizar una herramienta de fiscalización en contra de la Ministra Yarza y ahí abordaremos el tema de las desafortunadas e imprecisas declaraciones que hizo la Ministra de Salud”, finalizó Celis.
Así también, Tomas Lagomarsino. Señaló «En primer lugar como presidente de la comisión de salud, habíamos acordado invitar de forma presencial a la próxima comisión de salud a la Ministra, para conversar de una serie de puntos; Materias de la pandemia, de infraestructura, de vacunación etc, acordamos también, incluir este punto de la denuncia que ella realiza sobre el hospital El Salvador Y fruto también de esta reunión que hemos tenido con los distintos dirigentes, hemos abordado también la oportunidad de que un vocero o vocera de quienes son parte del hospital El Salvador puedan también dar su relato en este espacio que es la comisión de salud de la cámara de diputadas y diputados.
Para el Doctor Alvaro Cavieres, psiquiatra del Hospital El Salvador. “Lo que hasta acá ha realizado la Ministra ha sido completamente insuficiente, el carril de la acusación ética por parte del colegio médico es algo que se debe resolver en esa instancia, vamos a mantener la movilización mientras no se produzcan actos de reparación»
