PARRILLAS ELÉCTRICAS:
- En términos generales, son las más seguras. Dependiendo,
eso sí, de la calidad del sistema eléctrico que el hogar posea. - JAMAS deben conectarse a un alargador tipo, sin importar
su calidad. Salvo que sea una extensión diseñada
para soldador, con cableado 3.0. - Los principales accidentes se dan por quemaduras eléctricas . Sin embargo, a pesar de lo anterior, son bastante seguras.
- No olvide desenchufar, desde el sistema eléctrico, y evite los líquidos cerca de ellas.
PARRILLAS TRADICIONALES CERRADAS:
Son aquellas en que, una vez quemado el carbón, la carne es asada y cubierta por una tapa. En general, este sistema es más sofisticado y seguro que las parrillas tradicionales abiertas.
PARRILLAS TRADICIONALES ABIERTAS:
Son las más comunes y responden a un tipo hechizo y muy popular.
El principal cuidado es fijarse a la hora de encender y apagar el fuego.
IMPORTANTE ES MENCIONAR ALGUNAS REGLAS
BÁSICAS, PERO INTRANSABLES:
Al ubicar la parrilla, debo hacerlo lejos de estructuras de material ligero o de géneros, cartones u otros materiales de fácil combustión.
JAMAS utilizar acelerantes tales como: alcoholes, bencinas u otros combustibles líquidos; además de que afectan el sabor de lo que se vaya a asar, pueden tener componentes tóxicos. Además, son la principal causa de incendios, quemaduras graves, e incluso muertes
JAMAS usar spray combustible para «avivar» la llama inicial.
No debe quedar a ras de piso o en zonas de circulación.
Nunca descuidar la llama, especialmente si hay niños o mascotas cerca jugando en el lugar.
No dejar vasos con alcohol cerca de la parrilla.
Al soplar el fuego, debe tener cuidado con las pavesas volantes o «chispas»,
especialmente en días calurosos.
Al terminar su uso, asegúrese de apagar la parrilla, cubriendo bien los restos encendidos y dejándola en un lugar abierto, ventilado y lejos de objetos o estructuras. Si no puede hacerlo así; enfríe usando agua (no
haga esto en el caso de parrillas eléctricas).
SI USTED PREFIERE LOS ASADOS AL AIRE LIBRE Y DECIDE HACER UN FUEGO, DEBE RECORDAR LO SIGUIENTE:
Antes de hacer el fuego, debe despejar el área en que va a encender su parrilla, al menos dos metros cuadrados.
Debe colocar piedras en torno al fuego que encenderá.
No debe usar comburentes líquidos, ni en spray.
Tampoco use plásticos.
No lo haga bajo árboles con follaje denso.
Si sopla el fuego el riesgo de pavesas aumenta, debe tomar precauciones.
En caso de emergencia, debe tener un recipiente con agua suficiente o extintor portátil de mano para apagar el fuego.
No se confíe en que «todo está verde». El follaje verde también se incendia
Recuerde que hacer fogatas en parques, campos y zonas protegidas, está
penado por la ley, y usted puede ser infraccionado, detenido e incluso procesado por faltar a éstas disposiciones o en el caso de causar perjuicios.
POR ÚLTIMO, BOMBEROS LE DA UN PAR DE CONSEJOS «DIECIOCHEROS»:
No deje a niños o adultos mayores dependientes a cargo del fuego o de la parrilla.
Si usted está a cargo del fuego y la parrilla no se embriague. Beba alcohol
con mucha moderación o, idealmente, no beba alcohol
